Chili Rice Mix
(Makes 6 servings; approximate cost per package, including bag: 45 cents)

Mix Contents:
1 c. long grain rice (16 cents)

1 T. dried chopped onion (1 cent)
1 T. chili powder (20 cents)
1 tsp. or 1 cube bouillon (3 cents)

1/2 tsp. salt (1 cent)
1/8 tsp. pepper (1 cent)

(Plus one bagi, 4 cents)

Instructions to include with mix:
1. Combine mix with 2 c. water in a saucepan; bring to a boil, stir until bouillon dissolves, and cover tightly with lid.
2.
Reduce heat to low; simmer 20-25 minutes.
3.
Remove from heat; let sit 5 minutes; fluff with fork.

Herbed Rice Mix

1 tsp. or 1 cube bouillon (3 cents)

1 tsp. parsley flakes (3 cents)
1/2 tsp. salt (1 cent)
1/8 tsp. pepper (1 cent)
(Plus one bagi, 4 cents)

Instructions to include with mix:
1. Combine mix with 2 c. water in a saucepan; bring to a boil, stir until bouillon dissolves, and cover tightly with lid.
